Tencent Music grows revenue 17.9% as online music subscriptions and ARPPU drive profit higher

Tencent Music Entertainment Group reported second quarter 2025 total revenues of RMB8.44 billion (US$1.18 billion), up 17.9% year over year, as online music services revenue rose 26.4% to RMB6.85 billion while social entertainment and other revenue declined. Music subscription revenue grew 17.1% to RMB4.38 billion and monthly ARPPU for online music increased to RMB11.7 from RMB10.7. Net profit attributable to equity holders was RMB2.41 billion, up 43.2%, and non-IFRS net profit was RMB2.57 billion, up 37.4%. Diluted earnings per ADS were RMB1.55 versus RMB1.07 a year ago. Online music paying users reached 124.4 million, up 6.3%, while online music MAUs were 553 million.
