U.S. Cellular's third quarter results show continued growth in retail service revenue, driven in part by the positive impact of postpaid ARPU. Prepaid results have also continued to improve as we have progressed through the year.
UScellular reported total operating revenues of $1,016 million for the third quarter of 2021, versus $1,027 million for the same period one year ago. Net income attributable to UScellular shareholders and related diluted earnings per share were $34 million and $0.38, respectively, for the third quarter of 2021 compared to $85 million and $0.97, respectively, in the same period one year ago.
- Continued growth in retail service revenue, driven in part by the positive impact of postpaid ARPU.
- Prepaid results have also continued to improve as we have progressed through the year.
- Business and government and tower operations are gaining momentum towards the growth.
