Grupo Galicia Q1 2026: Ps.66.5B net income as loan provisions ease and financial margin recovers
Grupo Financiero Galicia reported first-quarter 2026 results on May 13, 2026, with net income attributable to the group of Ps.66,488 million, down 66% year over year but a sharp swing from the Ps.91,430 million loss in Q4 2025. Net operating income was Ps.1,663,208 million, up 1% versus Q4 but down 14% versus Q1 2025, as net interest income of Ps.1,595,336 million and net fee income of Ps.434,057 million were partly offset by loan loss provisions of Ps.892,130 million. Management highlighted that provisions remain the main drag on profit but declined versus the prior quarter as delinquency improved, while the financial margin recovered toward quarter-end after January–February rate volatility. Annualized ROE was 3.2% and ROA 0.6%; capital ratio stood at 23.3% with net profit per share of Ps.41.4. Subsidiary Galicia contributed Ps.47,653 million of profit, while Naranja X posted an Ps.18,638 million loss.
